Socio-emotional assessments are useful in gaining a holistic understanding and more insight into the inner world of a child. These assessments are indicated where there are concerns around a child’s social, emotional and behavioural functioning.
Parents or caregivers may be concerned about excessive worry, irritability, sadness or anxiety; displays of aggression; heightened emotional reactions; indications of poor self-concept or low self-esteem as well as associated behavioural concerns. Results are discussed in a feedback session along with a comprehensive feedback report to guide decision making.
